Subject: instead of IA, I got a transfer notice... Vol.2
Hi, everyone! This is a cont´d topic I posted on Jan. 25. Hope "Me" and everyone can find this new one. Here are the previous ones.

http://www.canada-city.ca/canada-immigration/posting.php?messageid=11350

I went to see a professional consultant recently. The person pointed out that there was one thing in my application, which may make them to call me for an interview. I totally agreed and got shocked. I also learned that, despite of this rumor about this "even distribution transfer," if my case was straight forward, Buffalo should have processed my case to the end...

Meanwhile, I just got CAIPS Note today. I requested this by mail on January 6, 2006. Quick, huh!!! But I found almost nothing useful in there since I haven´t got my IA yet. There were two lines I want to ask you guys for some opinions.

-------------------------------------------------------------
PAPER FILE SENT TO PA FILE BF´D TO: SEA ON 10-03-2006
-------------------------------------------------------------

Does this means it won´t be transferred to Seattle until March 10 by any chance?!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------
DOCUMENT(S) REQ´D DATE REQUESTED OK AUTHORITY
RCMP NAME CHK 06-01-2006 - (Blank)
-------------------------------------------------------------

Does anybody know what each lines means???
Thanks!!!

P.S. To "Me", thanks for the URL!

SEA is the initial of your immigration officer

RCMP NAME CHK 06-01-2006 - (Blank)
CIC has requested name check from RCMP on Jan. 6, 2006 but no result has been returned back yet.

Thanks, Edm. But once again, what the date (SEA ON 10-03-2006) means? Does someone have any idea???

That´s the Bring forward date, that´s a date when they´ll check your file just in case nothing has happen before that date.

What does Bring forward date mean?

What i gather from the above posts is that they will only move forward on March 10 on Ritea´s case if everything goes normally.. right?

Ritea: on a positive note, atleast you know when they will move forward on your case, instead of waiting anxiously

the BF´D is just a date when they´ll check the file in case nothing has happened. That´s usually set 52 weeks after AOR, that´s the timeframe where they are supposed to asses the applications and generate the IA.

Bring Forward Date (in reply to: instead of IA, I got a transfer notice... Vol.2)
Thanks to you guys, I learn a new term, "Bring Forward Date." I searched in this forum with these key words, and seems like this date does not mean much. Mine is also just exactly one year from the date of AOR like most of other people´s case... Like someone says, requesting CAIPS Note before IA seems just waste of time... I will keep you guys updated. Thanks!
