My wife will be landing in Toronto on March 2006 and she needs to get some private maternity insurance, as ontario health coverage will begin after 3 months. Can anyone let me know any insurance companies which provides these types of insurance and cover all the doctor´s visit and delivery cases.
On the other hand, if I dont take private insurance now and pay all dues by myself, can I claim those later from Ontario government after my wife gets health card?

Just for people looking for maternity coverage. There are plans that provide complete coverage, including check ups, delivery and pre-natal care up to $10,000. This plan has to be for 1 year period.
Other companies would only cover pregnancy complications, such as bleeding, abdominal pain and miscarriage while at the same time cover medical emergencies and exams for them.
