Subject: Pls FBI Clearance problem
hi there, I had my interview last week, at the end the officer said congratulations, and welcome to Canada, he asked me to bring an FBI clearance since I lived in the states for a while, also from 4 other countries which I lived in the past. I have all 4 police certificates that say that I have no police problems, and that I never broke the law in those countries.
However, I did have some problems while I was in the USA, mainly, DUI, and I never went on a trail, actually I never attended the court, because basically, I didn?t know there was one, I had 2 DUI tickets during my time there?.This thing happened more than 14 yrs ago.
Will this come out in my report, Is there anything I can do to solve this problem, like pay fines, or hire a lawyer to clear my name.
Please give me your suggestions, I was so hesitant to discuss this, but I guess sometime I just would have to..

check your criminal record online ...there are so many agencies who can provide you criminal history......FBI report tells about Arrest records and i have no idea if your records will still be there......the best thing is to get your criminal history online through agencies, they will charge you some where around 30 dollars....if your criminal history shows a record, awarrant for not appearing in the court or something then you are in very SERIOUS TROUBLE........about an incident that happened 14 years ago might give you some relaxtion but dont take my words for it...go to google.com and type "check your criminal record" and u will get different agencies affering the service......good luck

Persons who are inadmissaible to Canada

Members of Inadmissible Classes include those who have been convicted of MINOR OFFENCES (including shoplifting, theft, assault, dangerous driving, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of illegal substances, etc.), or of INDICTABLE CRIMINAL OFFENCES (including assault with a deadly weapon, manslaughter, etc.). As well, those who have been convicted of DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED (DWI) are considered Members of an Inadmissible Class. Driving while under the influence of alcohol is regarded as an extremely serious offence in Canada.

Those who have received TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS (including parking/speeding tickets, etc.) and other minor violations (i.e. littering, etc.) most likely will NOT be prohibited from entering Canada. Similarly, those who have JUVENILE CONVICTIONS (convictions for crimes committed while under age 18) most likely will NOT be prohibited from entering Canada unless they could have been tried as an adult for their offences.
