It´s not going to be easy, though it´s not impossible either. It really depends on how far you are willing to go to fight the system.

You might want to read this article that might be relevant to your situation:

http://immigrationguides.com/immigration_news/court_boost_for_disabled_applicants.html

If it helps, I googled the contact info for the lawyer mentioned in the article, Cecil Rotenberg. His number is (416) 449-8866, and email address is immigration@clrqc.com.

Good luck!

I guess it depends on what you bring in for Canada.

I assume they are going eavlute what you bring v/s what it is going to cost the system.

I know it is really hard with a child and to think like this but this is the world we live in.

If I were you, I´d definately follow typo´s lead and check the possibilities.

Thank you ASH and Typo for the reply. My wife and I can work in Canada. I have the required fund that they require for a family of 2 children ( 4 years and 2 years old, the 2 year-old-one having ASD).
More advise please. Thanks.

The one thing in your favour is that there is legal precedent for your situation. So assuming you meet all other requirements (points, suitability etc), you have a reasonable shot.

Normally, I do not like suggesting going through a lawyer - 90 per cent of applications do not need them - but quite honestly, if I were in your position, I would consider myself in the 10 per cent of cases that do. It might help in the sense that the immigration officer will be aware of a potential legal fight if the file is not handled correctly.

One thing I would definitely look for in a lawyer is that s/he has handled a similar case to yours in the past.

I am a Canadian Citizen, we wont to support our friend´s Application for Immigration with Arranged Employment. He will qualify to work for our company and will qualify for Skill Worker program, but he has 7 y.o. autistic son (his wife and older son would qualify with no problems). The boy´s autism is severe.

Would you recommend him to start the application overseas or come to work to Canada (with work permit) and then start the application
for his entire family?

What are the chances? Do you know if people can be allowed to Immigrate with a severely autistic child, even though the rest of the family would be highly functional in Canada and will have work right away?

Showkat, Canadian parents of Autistic children have exactly the same concerns as you do. Government programs are very limited and family support is very limited.

Immigration is going to be difficult - YOU will have to qualify and then hope that your child is not ruled medically inadmissible. Right now, there is a freeze on Skilled Worker applications until 2013. There will be new rules coming out at that time.

Under medical - if CIC considers your child´s condition a potential burden on our medical system - the application will be rejected.

Nobody here can say what CIC will decide on the medical issue - you would have to wait and see.
