Subject: strange reply from Buffalo- CSQ applicant!!!
  Buffalo replies are weird!!
My timeline-
Got CSQ - June 2005
App to Buffalo- June 2005
AOR- July 2005
IA- August 05
Med- Aug 05 (2nd week of august) 23rd Sep 05 sent from Ottawa to Buffalo
Requested DOC (PCC) sent - 2nd week Aug 05

Was Waiting then emailed "buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca" in 2nd week Jan?06 and got a strange reply as below:

Your file is in queue for initial assessment which could take up to 49 weeks from application date.

Votre dossier a ?t? plac? en attente pour son ?valuation initiale qui pourrait prendre jusqu?? 49 semaines de date d?application.

Initial assessment has already been done then why again????

Does anyone have any clue WHAT IT MEANS ?? or there has been some misinterpretation by Buffalo guys !!!!!

I am also a CSQ nominee, and I have the same timeline as yours, I did the med. on august 11, 2005. Still waiting for PPR. sent an email to buffalo on the first week of oct. 2005 and they confirmed receipt of Medicals, and stated that they have requested background checks from diff. governments. I guess They are still doing the background check.

Good luck

P.S: I would recommend you send another email, just to make sure that the response they sent you was not an auto-response (based on the vocabulary used on the email).

rar--I didnt sent the PCC with the application. But when I recieved the initial assessment and the medical forms, there I was asked to send PCC and then I separately posted them my PCC by Canada Xpresspost which confirmed the delivery.
Anonymous--I think I will go by what u r suggesting..email them again with more details this time.

Joey--What is the CIC e-client showing in your case? I had done my medical chekup on 9th August´2005 in montreal. I checked from Ottawa Medical Processing centre and they confirmed sending my medicals on 23rd Sep´2005. But my e-client is still showing "IN PROCESS"...

How long did it take each of you to get your CSQ? Did you apply from within Canada? I am planning on applying from Montreal. I am in the US and will be leaving to study in Montreal next month. Any advice on the CSQ?

I really appreciate your help!

I had applied in Sep´2004 and was interviewed in June´2005.
Interview was fairly OK since I had good points basically checking originals and French language skills and adaptability factors!!!

Took me 4 months to get the CSQ from the "Delegation General de Quebec" in New York city.

Good luck.
