Subject: File transfer from Buffalo to Vienna, please help
  Dear forum members,

I hope someone will be able to help with this issue. I have applied to the Buffalo office CIC on Nov 14, 2005 (that´s when they received my complete file), and I got the AOR two weeks later Nov, 28, 2005. I have been on H1B visa in the US for a number of years. However, I just put in my two weeks notice at my current job and will be going back to my home country in Europe (under Vienna office jurisdiction).

My question is: Should I transfer my file from Buffalo to Vienna, since I will be living in my home country until I get the Canadian PR? The Vienna processing time is much shorter as I understand it.
Any help on the matter will be greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Z.

If you are going to live in Viena for a long time that´s better.

I think you should! We had to transfer our file from Buffalo to Paris, and the process of transferring doesn´t take long, plus, usually, you don´t lose your place in the queue. Let Buffalo know that you want the file transferred. But check with the Vienna office, when the file arrives there, so that everything is in place!
Good luck!
