Subject: Landing questions
I got my PR visa stamped last year and plan to land in Canada in March before my visa expires. I´ve got following questions..

1. I got a very good job in another country and at the moment intend to go to Canada and stay for just 1 week (probably in a hotel). Should I tell that to immigration authorities during landing?

2. Does anybody know any agencies who can collect my PR card and post it to me? In that case what Canadian address should I give?

3. I put in my application form Winnipeg as preferred place of stay, will that be fine if I land in Toronto?

4. As I am just going there for a week, is it still neccessary to take stipulated funds?

Thanks in advance for replies..

1. When you land they will ask you if you will be returning back.

2. No there is no such agency that will do it for you. Either provide a friend´s address or talk to some immigration consultant.

3. Yes you can land in toronto

4. Yes you have to carry proof of funds

Well my best advise to u is that it takes about 3 weeks to get your PR card (they will tell u it takes longer but it normally takes about 3 weeks), so if u can arrange to get a 3 weeks time off from your work would be great, because there is no such thing like an agency collecting your card...And plus it is better to travel with your card with u...

Thanks everybody who answers my questions of my earlier post. I found a friend who will post me my PR card. I have some more questions.

1. How long is the PR card valid, do I have to return before the validity period ends?

2. Do I also need to apply for SIN Card and Health Card and the time of landing or can I do it later when I come back to settle down?

Thanks in advance for replies..
