I submitted the application to the CIC, Mississauga in June, 2005. My wife received a phone call from the Canadian Visa office in Chandigarh, India asking her to send her passport by registered mail at the end of November 2005, presumably for stamping of VISA, but she is still waiting to get it back. She was not told how long it would take to get the passport back with Visa and her fax enquiry (request for acknowledgement of passport receipt)was not answered. Has anyone received his/her passport back in the last two weeks with Visa in the spousal application? I was under the impression that it takes only 2-3 weeks to get the passport back.
