Hi guys. I am one of "early 2006" group. I got an e-mail from buffalo today. It says
"The passport request letter will be mailed to you after January 10."
This message is more specific than "early 2006" and more detailed since they mentioned the word "ppr"
My questions now are:
- Have anyone got msg similar to mine?
- Does this mean they already completed my case?
- Will they send PPR on Jan 10?
Let me know what you experts think.
FYI, I´m an In-Canada appliant on study permit (applied in Aug 2004).

I e-mailed them several times , no response .. I got the early 2006 message. I am extremely frustrated !

Hi waiting.,
iam in similar timelines as yours.i applied in july 2004, AOR -august 2004, medicals-april 2005, student in canada and waiting for PP request. I had sent them out an e-mail to buffalo on 2nd jan and havent got a response yet.can u let me know when did u sent the e-mail to buffalo??

What exact wording you stated in your email? I am also in "early 2006" club. Send email yesterday, no feedback.

I was not from the early 2006 club, however, I emailed Buffalo three days ago and got this response:
"Your file is under review with the officer.. If there is
something pending we will contact you ASAP"
Does anyone know what does it mean?

Boss & BraveHeart: i sent e-mail on Dec 31, 2005. please allow a few more days and you will hear from them. let us know what they say then.
That is the exact wording. "copied and pasted"
any thoughts about "after Jan 10 ?" why not "ON Jan 10?"

I want to congratulate you for getting an email atleast specifying Jan 10th,coz there are about 10 people in canada in this Forum who haven´t got any info other than "early 2006"
I wish you see the envelope soon and make sure U post it coz it boosts others,
