I got arrested and detained by US immigration at Peace Bridge after I crossed from Canada. Canada refused reentry. I am from India. I tried to croos into states with no visa. Help!!!!!

OK to do what? what were you planning to do there? no doubt, the US immigration service thinks you were planning to cross the border and simply stay there as an illegal alien.
you have a lot of explaining to do and having a friend suggest it was OK is not going to get you very far. Please contact a lawyer.

Are you saying that you were not aware that you required Visa to go to US or were under the impression that the Immigration officer would just let you go without checking. What did you say to the officer when he asked for the documents? If you were not allowed to re-enter Canada, have you been deported back to India?

First of all, you must be quite naive to try to enter the US without a visa just because your friend said it was ok. Second thing, I think there must have beeen more to the story than you´re posting here. Was there anything else you may have done that got you deported? As for you ever getting any sort of visa into the US ever again, you can forget about that. Unless you have some sort of connection with someone in the immigration offices of both the US or Canada, you can just enjoy the heat in Delhi for the rest of your life.
