Subject: Hi.. I received my I.A yesterday. But I will...
  Hi..
I received my I.A yesterday. But I will have to attend an Interview in Buffalo, New York. I don´t know if it´s a good news or not. Suggest me guys what should I do for Interview. I was really not sad for they didn´t ask me to take IELTS. I was not so comfortable taking IELTS so I didn´t take it. Anyway one more question - is it still possible for them to ask me to take IELTS after the interview? Is it safe for me to assume that they have understood that I don´t need IELTS to prove my proficiency in English. I have my higher education degrees from US colleges.

My AOR was dated Feb 24, 2005.

Thank you.

go order CAIPS and you might figure out why you were asked for interview. you can´t assume anything until you saw CAIPS code

For those applicants who are already living in Canada, you can directly obtain CAIPS notes. Complete the form TBC 350-57 found here
http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/tbsf-fsct/dwnld/350-57_e.pdf

For the federal govt institution, write CIC. Next field provide your immigration file number and mention that you want to obtain CAIPS notes. Complete the rest of the form and along with a $5 money order mail to

If your friend is obtaining the notes on your behalf write a cover letter saying that you authorise him to get the information on your behalf. Your friend will have to provide proof of his residence in canada e.g. copy of his PR card or passport.

Hi UK,

Like suggested please order your CAIPS notes. If you know someone in Canada follow Departure bay´s advice to order the notes - it?s much cheaper.

If you don?t know anyone in Canada you can use the service of a number of websites like www.caipsnotes.com (US$ 30).

I will strongly recommend that you appear in IELTS (General). It will take some time to get the interview date so you have lot of time to prepare. If you get at least 7 in each section of IELTS you will get the max 16 points for English proficiency. If you don?t provide the score it is up to the immigration official to decide how many points you deserve - can be anywhere between 8 - 16.
Are you willing to take that risk?
