I think CIC should revamp the points for age. i believe the older you get , the difficult to succeed. so instead of giving same 10 points for the age group of 21 - 49 , they should give additional points for people younger than 28 and negative points for people older than 35 . so younger people will be given more chances and they are the ones most likely to succeed. Australia and New zealand has similar favorable points for younger people.
i think canadians like sharon if they agree with my opinion should point this out to CIC.

I think people like Syd make the case that younger appplicants are often immature and less valuable to society. Older immigrants can bring valued work experience, knowledge, and wisdom.
So I say applicants 50 or older who have higher degree levels and lengthy work experience in needed skills be given bonus points, up to 10 additional points depending on these factors.
At the same time, sophmoric types like Syd who probably live at home with their parents and spend most of their days cruising this discussion board with hopes Canada will take them in, be penalized with point reductions.

the older you get the more realistic you get and the harder you are willing to work for something because you have see life for what it really is. I think they have the point system just right but I like Richard´s idea too.

Syd, your apology accepted. Sorry for being too sharp in my earlier comments. I´m sure your intentions were good and you deserve postive results from your application as well.
Also glad Sharon sees benefits of older immigrants too. Yes, my 10 point proposal is somewhat drastic but I stand by it. It was also to counter Syd´s prior unwise proposal.
