Subject: Should documents be attested by Notary
I would like to apply for my canadian Immigration.

Can someone help me please.

Can you submit the application in person at the consulate.

If we submit the application in person, should the copies of certificates be attested by the notary public? or can they be just photocopies of the originals ?

Thank you , in anticipation of your thoughts.

You cannot just submit documents at the consulate unless it is your Immigration office. Normally every country has a designated CIC ofie that recieves and processes applications from that country. Please check the forms and instruction manuals that are a part of the application kit for detailed info on where you have to submit your application.

You have toget your certificates notarised and not send just xerox copies. There are clear instructions in the application kit regarding who can notarise the documents. Usually a noraty of law can do that.

The singapore CIC should have specific instructions on how to submit an application. Give them a call and check with them if you can submit the appliation in person.

Please log to CIC and check on the locationyou are at. You will find all the required info online. Most likely, the CIC office will not answer verbal questions or emails.

And you can submit copies only of your documents. If they need the original they will ask you to bring them with you in the interview later.

good luck

All documents the immigration instructions said should be notarized, should be notarized. The instructions are quite clear. The notarization is an oath that you are submitting valid copies of those documents.
