Subject: To Kenny or Sharon help pls
I am expecting my visa in April since everything seems to be fine and no documents are missing, but I am a bit worried, that, since the application process is so slow I thought I could add my daughter to my application and did so, but now if my visa comes and expires in April then my daughter will not accompany me since she has not finished her school here and she has to stay at school till June, so my question is, do you think it is all right if we both land Canada together and my daughter comes back after a week to finish her school in our country and then re enter Canada after June, do you think this would be ok ???
Thank you in advance

After getting the PR visa all you and your daughter have to do is land in Canada before the expiry of the visa. After that she is free to go back to finish her education.

To maintain PR status a PR has to live in Canada for a period of 2 years out of 5 starting from the day you land in Canada as a PR. Visit the following link for more info:

well, you will need to apply for PR card after you enter Canada, this would atleast take 4-6 weeks. If you or your daughter leave canada without it, you will have to do separate paper work in you home country-candian embassay for you or your daughter to re-enter canada.
