Subject: good & bad news to share
  Hi folks,

I´ve a good & bad news to share. The good news is that I´ve received my file # from New Delhi last week. I applied on beginning of Nov. The bad news is that I´ve just joined the L-O-N-G queue. If I can produce pcc & IELTS in next 6 months, then when can I expect the interview/waiver?

Hi, it is taking a long time now, as 2000 and 2001 cases are still going on. So anywhere near 5 years for IA..

Yes it does help to get good score in IELTS, but PCC at this stage will not help much.

cases filed in India in New delhi are taking a minimum of 5 years for approval and average time to finalize new delhi skilled worker apps is taking 6 years.. to get IA u might have to wait 3 to 4 years..relax and forget it for now..u have 3 years time to give ur IELTS..so why r u worried now..whatever u do..even if u send ur IELTS next month ur case wont be speede up and approved in 2 years..the normal time for new delhi is 5 years..im not discouraging u but thats the stark reality..

i really dont think its worth it to wait for 5 years to get into canada..there is nothing there..even i have applied but i have applied from buffalo in usa..it takes 2 to 3 years here to finalize..i applied 1 year ago just got my IA..but anyways one of my friend who applied and was in final stage withdrew it because a friend of his is a citizen of canada from india and he told my friend that there is absolutely no jobs in canada...i mean the technical ones not the odd jobs..so india is much much better for tech opportunities anyday now..

JOBS IN CANADA (in reply to: good & bad news to share)
There *are* jobs, but I think the demand for skilled workers is much higher in the smaller centers. For example, Saskatchewan has a need for healthcare workers, managers, rural business entrepreneurs, and tradespeople. Check out http://www.immigrationsask.gov.sk.ca/ for more info, if you are interested.
