Subject: Pregnancy and Landing
  Hi All:

My wife and I have applied for Canadian PR, and are in the Early 2006 group. When we applied for the PR, it was just my wife and I. But since then, things have changed a bit. My wife is pregnant now, and we are expecting the baby in late April.

In the interim if we do get our landing papers, would the immigration folks at the Port-of-entry cause any problems, since my wife would be 8+ months pregnant?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Also, we are already in Canada, and been living here for couple of years now.

If you are in Canada already your child will be a Canadian Citizen, you just have to inform CIC of the change in your family situation once the baby is born.

The officers at the port of entry will not have any problems with your wife´s pregnancy.

If a female is waiting for Passport(visa); and at the time of receiving visa or at the time of flight she is pregnant. Can she go/fly to canada?

Well entering Canada as a pregnant lady is not a problem some might even enter canada when they are pregnant for a week, they are not going to check any not born babies or their documents ... lol ..Just try to take her safely.... Cong....

I think they mean that some airlines won´t fly pregnant women after a certain time in their pregnancy for health reasons. Certainly if she is 8+ months pregnant I would be worried and wouldn´t fly if that was me!
