hey,
i dont know where to apply for immigration to canada..well now i am in canada only on student permit..i saw a timeline...for various coumtries...my question is that i can apply to some other country to..like i want to apply to lima..as they are having a very short timeline..
plz advice

no, you must apply in the country where you have/will been a resident for 1 year or your country of national origin.
we would all love to apply through Lima.

Jay,
Canada definitely wud be a better option. The only thing that u shud watch out for is at the time of submitting the application, your student permit/visa shud have validity for atleast one more year.

very true. You can apply through vegreville, alberta as inland, or through your country of nationality as Sharon said above. Just keep your student visa valid as michelle said or you´ll need to extend as a visitor.. (if you can do that if you´re here on study.. that i´m not sure of)

Hi Jay,
Under which category are you planning to apply for Canadian immigration?
If you wish to apply as a Skilled worker then you MAY submit your application in Buffalo, USA (as you are living in Canada at present) or your country of citizenship. Visit the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/offices/apply-where.html
If you submit your application to Buffalo and later on you are called for an interview then you will have to come to US to attend the interview. Getting a US visa will be your responsibility.
