hey folks ,
could it be possible that CIC in some countries when sitting idle will be entrusted to look at applications from other countries like manila and china ?
For Eg: CIC, Sydney (australia) was quite fast in processing applications till Jun 04(based on yogi tracker site)It was even faster than Buffalo during 2004.But all of a sudden the processing time went up to 24 months . After Jun 04 it seems nothing has been happening . I got the letter in nov 05 telling not to contact CIC for next 24 months ,at the same time it seems the buffalo is getting super fast .people i think are hearing from in as short as 10 months.
does anyone think my guess is reasonable?

It´s probably not practical since it will require the transfer of documents.

Just curious. Other than for family reasons, job opportunity, or change of weather, why would anyone with permanent status in Australia apply to Canada? Both countries are very similar in social philosophy and programs. Australia is hawkish on the Iraq war, though, as a major difference.

well i think australia is richer than canada. you can get work easily. there are also many to universities in australia so that you can study too as domestic student.but i am prefering to move to canada for family reasons and i am a great fan of snowy climate

I agree. I think between these 2 counries I would prefer Canada for same reasons - climate. I like temperate zone with Winters, and not crazy about finding scorpions in my shoe in the morning. I also think Canada has more beautiful natural wilderness to see and explore.
