Subject: Nov 04 applicants
Hi Nov 04 applicants. I went to a lawyer the other day for advice on a completely different matter but he conveniently mentioned that he had spoken to someone in Buffalo that day and apparently they just started processing first week of Nov 04 applicants last week. So we should be hearing from them in the next two months.

On a side note, this lawyer is a very reputable one in Toronto and he charges a consultation fee of $200. I went to him to ask him a question and expected my $200 to give me atleast an hour of his time. Guess what! He answered my question and in less than 5 minutes said he had to answer his phone and ushered me out the door. MUST BE NICE TO EARN $200 IN FIVE MINUTES! He was a super nice fellow but I sorta felt robbed!

Hi,

The problem is not the begin processing - but the bottleneck, there are still trying to clear older applications; from 2001-2002 which were on hold due to the lawsuit.

Until CIC draws a plan to systematically include both past and current files in their process cycle, it is going to mean delays for all.

Be prepared for that.

What the lawyer said is absolutely right. Because CIC Buffalo just told me that Oct 2004 applications whose AOR´s are in Feb 05 mostly have all been assessed and IA´s should be coming soon for all people in this timeline. Later.

so do you think that someone who aplied in Nov-Dec and got the AOR in March will receive the IA before somebody who applied in March and got the AOR in the same month?

If yes, it means that the application date - IA duration counts and not the AOR-IA interval.
